They say a blue bird  carries the sky on its back

I can’t really say

If that’s a fact 

the tongue doesn’t always  speak for the heart

Maybe so 

But at least it’s a start

That slow and steady wins the race

Not if the other guy

Has a faster pace

I’ve heard all is fair in love and war

I’m not so sure 

That sounds bizarre 

That a picture is worth a thousand words 

But to describe your beauty

I’d need 10,000 verbs

I can't have your cake and eat it too

That’s because

I’d give half to you
