COGS
magic mechanical beauty
Of relationships designed
In symmetrical suggestions
Of an intertwine Devine
Each spindle spinning synchronized
A mechanism maintained
With ratios compliant
Remaining preordained
A machine made to turn slowly
Jeweled movements so precise
Torque and tension calibrate
This devilish device
Interlocking sprockets
Whose precision give us cover
To counterclockwise turn our heads
From another to each other
circular components
On a single axis spun
Gears that go together
The rack and the pinion
Cogs cut to perfection
Each tooth fits like a glove
Both hearts hold the key that winds
This contraption we call love
