Checking her schedule 

Which day will be best 

When nothing is planned 

And she isn’t stressed

Dad, work, and children 

A triple tour de force

A struggle ongoing

Anxiety’s source

She tolerates well

Her aches and her pains

Though her mood is affected 

She seldom complains

She’s scheduled procedures

To pinpoint the cause

But in the meantime 

All loving is paused

Yet I remain hopeful

One morning she’ll find

The discomfort’s subsided

Enough to make time

To snuggle beside me

For one thing is sure

When she starts the treatment

We both will be cured

She knows the prescription 

She has the degree

Just the right dosage 

To satisfy me

A miracle medicine 

That’s guaranteed 

To make her feel better
