Trust Your Love
Love is metal under weather —
Strong, but not immune
A heart can shine like steel in sun
But rust when rain runs through
Not every storm of life destroys
Not every tear corrodes
And even when there’s pain and fear
Just trust the hand you hold
For fear will whisper, “love decays”
And rust may form where pain once lay
But trust replies, “not now — love stays”
And even rust turns gold one day
If fear is a lock then trust is the key
That opens up love’s door
I’ll be there to set you free
And hold you closer than before
No matter what the years may do
Or where our love will lead
My heart will still belong to you —
You can trust your love in me
