Will She Cry

Will She Cry
Life goes on
Are so they say
We live for the moment
We live for today
The years together
Gone in a flash
What once was flesh
Is now mere ash
But will her heart
Sink in her chest
When what remains
Is laid to rest
Will she remember
The love once shared
When the soul walks through
Life’s portière
Will her hand reach out
To clutch thin air
For one last touch
In sweet despair
As the sweet refrain
Of death’s lullaby
Slowly fades away
Will she cry
