Old Shoe Love
Old shoe love
My sole is worn
Soft and supple
From journeys to
And from your door
Whether a strut
Or lazy shuffle
I’m broken in
A little more
Should you decide
To slip me on
My tongue’s been taught
To lay real still
Until you feel
All cozy and warm
From heel to toe
Bending to your will
And when your skin
Begins to rub
I’m hard and smooth
Firm and snug
And everything fits
Just like a glove
Two hearts laced in
Our Old Shoe Love
