When “Our” Love Arrives
When “Our” Love Arrives
Three days and counting
‘Till paradise strikes
Seventy-two hours worth waiting
When all will be nice
That window of opportunity
Presenting itself
to seize the right moment
And feel my heart melt
Two days of hoping
That the schedule’s secure
No appointment or obligation
Nor devilish detour
For the least little thing
Might interfere
And love will be kept waiting
Like a wrench in the gears
One more day longing
A mere twenty-four
Like the day before Christmas
When she opens the drawer
That magical morning
In the days of our lives
Each numbered and sacred
When Our Love Arrives
