Every day can not be perfect 

Mr. Sun will simply say

“I always shine

But I’m undermined

When clouds get in the way”

When it comes to lovin’

The goal is for perfection 

But if it flubs

Sort of a dud

It may require reflection

There’s 1000 antidotes

One can banter about

And though there’s tons

There’s only one

That immediately stands out

If at first you don’t succeed

It’s heartily recommended

To pick yourself up 

Dust yourself off

Then try and try again

I surely have no problem

With giving this a whirl

In fact it’s fun

Despite the outcome

If it’s with my sexy girl

Even if our next attempt

Doesn’t quite perform

We won’t despair

Or even care

The third time is a charm

But we won’t let that happen

In fact I’ll guarantee

The next time around 

Will be profound 

And will end in ecstasy

Hoping it will happen soon

For the calender points the way

To a morning soon 

When we can spoon
