Monday Monday 

Can’t trust that day

At least that’s what

The Mamas and Papas say 

But I don’t agree

With that sentiment

Because Monday Monday

Is a day of merriment 

Pick up the shovel

And go to the mine

Head  back to work

As Monday is enshrined

But a lazy Monday morning

Can be a time of leisure 

If she grants me the pleasant task

To pamper and to please her 

Nothing could be better 

Nothing could be sweeter

A kiss to wake Ms. Monday

For I’ll be there to greet her
