This Road

I wonder where this road will lead

This Road, this avenue of us we tread

So casual we seem to stroll

For granted we take This Road we’re on

This Road, only as long as life

This life, this wonderment of being

Too easily we traverse through time

As if This Road will never end

Happenstance bought us to This Road

This Road, this path of dreams we share

Two souls winding, twisting toward

A destination on This Road unknown

Divergent paths can call us hither

If This Road runs too narrow

Beware the turn that often tempts

Should scenery stale become the view 

Stay the course, this road may lead

To a sweeter place than where you’ve been

This Road a journey unto itself

Together we will share This Road
