The Call
The Call
Modern life is an abnormality
The daily rigors become our obstacles
We overcome them one by one
We survive, yet we’re not alive
Yes....they challenge us
Yes... they test our merit
Yes... they give pause to our existence
We survive, yet we’re not alive
No... they don’t satisfy our craving
No... they don’t feed our spirit
No... we can’t sink our teeth
We survive yet we’re not alive
Nature calls out our birth names
We long to be immersed in her realm
We relish the tangibles offered
We survive, we’re almost alive
Our metal is forged in her forests
Our soul steeled by her waters
Our essence peaks in her mountains
We survive, we’re almost alive
Those that hear the call....answer
We shun the shackles of civilization
We conquer and conquest
We survive.. we’re finally alive
