Tīwesdæg
Tīwesdæg
Oh son of Odin
Thy father’s favorite
And the bravest of the Gods
Free my love
From the bonds
Of her emotional facade
Just as you saved
Thy fellow Gods
From a monster’s claws
And sacrificed a hand
While doing battle
To Fenrir, the Wolf God’s jaws
I will sacrifice
Just as thee
A limb to be subserving
To save the day
Yet once again
For this mortal undeserving
So I implore
Oh mighty Tyr
To soothe the savage beast
That dwells within
My lover’s heart
That she might be at peace
On the day so named
For a God so mighty
The second day of the week
Ignite her passion
In the morning light
Of this I do beseech
