Dying Day
Dying day
On my dying day
Please don’t bring me flowers
Bring me things .. silly things
Like bubble gum and onion rings
To make me laugh
To make me smile
Cause I’ll be gone
In a little while
On my dying day
Pour whiskey down my throat
Raise your glass … raise it high
Make a toast for the end is nigh
Then do a dance
That spins around
Throw back your head
Make a joyful sound
On my dying day
Don’t shed a tear for me
Don your finest party attire
Put on some music before I expire
Have a ball
With all my friends
For all good things
Come to an end
On my dying day
There’s no room for sadness
Each day with you was heaven
Your love my prize possession
So live your life
And don’t forget
To laugh out loud
With no regrets
On my dying day
When my spirit leaves this earth
You can rest assured
One thing endures
When the soul is gone
My love lives on
In your heart
My love will stay
To comfort you
On my dying day
