Alone
Alone
Loneliness is mournful sound
A long and plaintiff note
An echo of an echo
With no one else around
No one to listen
No one to share
No one to shelter
No one to care
Loneliness is a desolate place
Far from the beaten path
Footsteps faded long ago
With no way to retrace
No one to find you
No one to try
No one to miss you
No one to cry
Loneliness a story never told
A sad and sordid lie
Broken hearts that never loved
Gave no lovelorn's alibi
No one to confess to
No one to believe
No one convict you
No one to reprieve
Loneliness nevermore will fly
A caged and Wounded bird
Feather bare with broken wings
It's song no more is heard
No one to sooth
No one to mend
No one to caress
No one to pretend
Loneliness lives among a love
To each other we atone
Loneliness is lonelier still
When together we're alone
No one really sees you
No one with love's eyes
No one shares your secret heart
No one wants to die
Alone
