Combine a pinch of real life

The individual ingredients unite

To create a succulent sapidity

Season with a dash of longing

Add a pinch of passion too

A palette pleasing “spice of life”

A “smack your momma” stew

While these mixtures marinate

Take the two you set aside

And baste them humility 

And sprinkle them with pride 

Lay them side by side

On a bed of gentleness 

Pour on your puréed loyalty 

And garnish with forgiveness

Prepare a topping of together 

For your dish complete 

With a slightest tart suggestion 

To emphasize the sweet

 Blend Cotton Candy and Lemon Drops

Memories melting on the tongue

Childhood remembrances finally fused

The old stirred with the young 

Serve your hodgepodge of confections

Made from tenderness and care

In a loving cup filled to the brim

That you both can share

Be sure to scrape your bowl of love
