How Wondrous Love Can Be

We don’t need expensive things

Grown up toys or fancy bling 

No trips to places far and wide 

Or “In the Spirit” be Baptized

Earthly measures will suffice

If only once or maybe twice

Simple pleasures of the flesh 

Is all our love should request

A sublimation that’s respected

For it’s all in one’s perspective

Plus a willingness to please

To satisfy or only tease

Purloined pleasures to be revealed

Secret needs to be unsealed

No one else need ever know

The places where our love can go

Consent between us two is all

No inhibitions to forestall 

Soft whispers in each other’s ear

Of desires that only lovers hear

To indulge our hidden fantasies

Would be the ultimate carnality 

For if we give we shall receive 

And learn How Wondrous Love Can Be
