Love’s Room
Love’s Room
Our hearts hold the key
To a well keep secret
A penetralia so rare
An alcove we share
A place so quiet
A space so sweet
An unlocked door
For us to explore
Comfortable and cozy
Our private nest
It’s yours it’s mine
So easy to find
Sunlight streams softly
Curtains flutter gently
Ours and ours alone
A niche to call our own
If we’re not together
your heart’s still at home
With gifts left behind
For the other to find
a thought that lingers
And hangs in the air
A word yet unspoken
A dream yet unwoken
These are the things
That softly dwell
In our shelter so sweet
In our respite’s retreat
The moment you enter
The world washes away
Be it morning or noon
In Love’s Room
